FIA WEC: at Nuerburgring victory for Ferrari and AF Corse

NUERBURGRING, July 16th - Ferrari and AF Corse won the 6 hours of Nuerburgring. The 488 #51, driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado, took the chequered flag in first position in the fourth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) thanks to a strongh perfomance and perfect strategy.

Starting from seventh position, the 488 #51 took the head of the race in the third hour and then the italian-english driver duo keep the first position gaining the victory in LMGTE Pro category.


The 488 #71 with Davide Rigon and Toni Vilander at the wheel ended in eighth spot due to a technical problem at the gearbox. Returning to the pits, the car was fixed in three mitues and the Italian set off again two laps down.


The next round of the FIA WEC will be in Mexico, September 3rd.
