Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Ferrari clinched their second consecutive FIA World Endurance Championship title. The result came at the end of the 8 Hours of Bahrain, won by teammates Miguel Molina and Antonio Fuoco at the wheel of the number 52 Ferrari of AF Corse. The Prancing Horse thus ended the final World Endurance Championship season for the LMGTE Pro class cars on a high note. The Maranello company won four constructors’ titles (2016, 2017, 2021 and 2022) with the 488 GTE. James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi also drove it to three drivers’ titles (2017, 2021 and 2022). This is Ferrari's sixteenth World Endurance Championship title. It was sealed in the 488 GTE’s last race in the premier class for production-derived GTs. AF Corse won eight titles, among Pro and Am classes, out of ten season.

Ferrari dominated the 6 Hours of Fuji, round five of the FIA World Endurance Championship. In the LMGTE Pro class, AF Corse Ferrari 488s claimed a one-two crucial for the world championship, with the Italian cars always in the top positions. The number 51 Ferrari 488 GTE with James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi was first over the finish line, ahead of the other AF Corse car, number 52, crewed by Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina.

24 Hours of Le Mans 2022, second and third spots in LMGTE Pro category. Alessandro Pier Guidi- James Calado-Daniel Serra took che checkered flag in P2, Antonio Fuoco- Miguel Molina-Davide Rigon finished in P3. In the LMGTE Am category, the best of the 488s at the finish line is the number 54 with Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and Nick Cassidy at the wheel, sixth after the 24-hour race. The trio preceded the 488 GTE number 21 (eighth) driven by Simon Mann-Christoph Ulrich-Toni Vilander, the number (ninth) with Vincent Abril, Louis Prette, Conrad Grunewald. In P10, Duncan Cameron, Matt Griffin and David Perel in the 488 No. 55 lined up by Spirit of Race. Franck Dezoteux, Gabriel Aubry and Pierre Ragues did not finish the race due to a technical problem.
