Fisichella and Bruni are first in the Fia Wec. Ferrari relus among the Constructurs and AF Corse leads the Team classification AUSTIN, Septmber 23rd – Giancarlo Fisichella and Gianmaria Bruni, in their AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia #51, take the lead in the Fia World Endurance Championship (GTE Pro category). The reigning champions gained the supremacy in the championship thanks to the second place at the end of the “6 Hours of the Americas” (Sunday, September 22nd at Austin) Actually, Fisichella and Bruni have 99 points in the GTE Pro Driver classification ( 3 ahead the second squad), Ferrari keeps the leadership in the GT Manufactures and AF Corse gains the top of the GTE Pro Team standing.
The podium is double in Texas: Kamui Kobayashi and Toni Vilander, in AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia #71, took the chequered flag in third place, very closed to their teammates. In championship, they are 4th on 72 points.
In the GTE Am category, Jack Gerber, Marco Cioci and Matt Griffin finished the American race in 7th position. The three drivers take 6 points in the GTE Am standing and have the 10th place.
In the same category, Enzo Potolicchio, Rui Aguas and Matteo Malucelli take the 4th spot in 8 Star Motorsports Ferrari 458 Italia #81 (managed by AF Corse). Potolicchio and Aguas are 3rd in the championship (GTE Am Drivers) on 79 points (16 behind the leaders). 8 Star Motorsports also has the 3rd place in the GTE Am Team standing (-12 from Aston Martin).
