FIA Wec, Spa: Ferrari and AF Corse aim at the top positions

SPA, May 1st – The FIA World Endurance Championship (Wec) heads to Spa for the second round in 2014 with its six-hour race. Ferrari and AF Corse – two times champions of the FIA Wec in the GTE Pro category with the Ferrari 458 Italia #51 – are among the stars of the best competition for GT cars and prototypes.

GTE Pro category – In the Ferrari 458 which bears the #51, the GT world champion Gianma- ria Bruni will run together with the Finnish Toni Vilander. The 458 #71 will feature the Scude- ria Ferrari test driver Davide Rigon and the Englishman James Calado.

GTE Am category – The car number #61 will be in the hands of Luis Perez Companc, Marco Cioci and Mirko Venturi while in the Ferrari #81 will race Steve Wyatt, Michele Rugolo and Andrea Bertolini. At Spa, there will be the debut of the trio composed of Peter Mann, Raffa- ele Giammaria and Lorenzo Casè in the Ferrari #60.

AF Corse will also manage the technical assistance of the 8 Star Motorsports Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 #90 and the trio of Enzo Potolicchio, Gianluca Roda and Paolo Ruberti will lined up in the GTE Am.

The race starts at 2.30 pm (CET) of Saturday, May 3.
