GT Open: the first places continue for drivers and cars of AF Corse

Three victories, two in the GTS category and another one in the Gentleman Trophy. The outcome to the sixth GT Open International event, at Spa, is once again winning for AF Corse.

RACE 1 – The newcomers Pasin Lathouras-Richard Lyons in their Ferrari 458 Italia #80 won the GTS category. Matt Griffin-Duncan Cameron took the chequered flag in second position in the Ferrari 458 Italia #54. That meant a 1-2 in GTS for the Italian squad, ahead of Claudio Sdanewitsch (AF Corse) took another win in the Gentlemen’s Trophy that he leads together with Michele Rugolo (Sdanewitsch is first in the GTR classification with 98 points, 20 ahead of Maleev). Giorgio Roda and Paolo Ruberti finished race 1 in fourth spot in the Ferrari 458 Italia #56; Roda keeps the leadership in the Drivers GTS standing with 58 points 8 (9 points ahead of Perez Aicart). Nikita Zlobin and Luca Persiani, in the Ferrari 458 Italia #79, gained the fifth position at their debut.

RACE 2 – Duncan Cameron e Matt Griffin won the GTS at the end of a race that saw their recovery of nine position from the green light. In fourth place, Nikita Zlobin and Luca Persiani. Second place in the Gentleman Trophy for Sdanewitsch-Rugolo. Retired Roda-Ruberti and Lathouras-Lyons.

In the Manufactures Championship, Ferrari rules thanks to 191 points (Porsche is second with 45); AF Corse is leader in the Team GTS standing with 147 (+96 than Ombra Racing).

The next event of the GT Open International will be at Monza, September 27 and 28.
