PECOM Racing / The goals in 2012


Pecom Racing: its name will be in the history of the motorsport thanks to the third position gained in the LMP2 Team category at the end the FIA World Endurance Championship, the new competition founded by Aco and by FIA. Luis Perez Companc, Pierre Kaffer and Nicolas Minassian (in the first half of the season there was Soheil Ayari) take the podium in the hard-won category of the championship, the best expression for prototypes and GT cars of the world. The result redoubles the memorable podium in the "Le Mans 24 Hours".

These goals arrive after the great results in the GT competition on Ferrari 430 GT2 (in the last years). In 2011, the Argentinian team raced in the Le Mans Series for the first time on a prototype.

Pecom Racing crew has races the 2012 season on the new Oreca 03 motorized by Nissan.

Luis Perez Companc

The career of the Argentinian driver was born from the rally. After many years in the WRC, in 2008 Companc will switch to sports car racing, running a Ferrari F430 for the Advanced Engineering (part of AF Corse team) in the FIA GT Championship, while competing in selected WRC events for the Munchi's team. Luis has begun to love the "circuit life" as a GT driver and, from that moment, he has become a constant presence in the most important Championship of the World. In 2011, he started to race on LMP2 category and one year later the great third position at Le Mans 24H. At the end of the 2012 season there is also the memorable podium in the FIA Wec.

Pierre Kaffer

In 2005 and 2006 he competed for Audi Sport in the DTM series. In 2009, Pierre drove a Ferrari 430 GT2 in the American Le Mans Series and, twelve months later, the German driver raced on AF Corse Ferrari 430 GT2. The GT Open International was the championship and Pierre won the overall standing at the end of a memorable season. In 2011, the challenge in the LMP2 category of the LMS/ILMC together with Luis Perez Companc. For 2012, Kaffer compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship with the third place and the podium in the "Le Mans 24 Hours".

Nicolas Minassian

The French driver drove in 2001 for Target Chip Ganassi Racing with F3000 title adversary Bruno Junqueira in CART and competed in the Indianapolis 500. In 2002 Minassian won the ASCAR oval racing series for RML (Ray Mallock Ltd) before returning to endurance racing including the 24 Hours of Le Mans for such teams as Creation Autosportif and Pescarolo Sport. For 2007 he is a factory driver for the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP diesel Le Mans prototype in the European Le Mans Series. For 2008 he will be driving the Peugeot 908 diesel Le Mans prototype in the European Le Mans Series. As well as competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Peugeot 908. In 2012, the third place in the FIA Wec with Pecom Racing.
