In the 6 Hours of Fuji some episodes affected the race

Some episodes affected the race. This is the recap of the 6 Hours of Fuji, Round 4 in the Fia World Endurance Championship (Wec) 2018-2019, for the AF Corse Ferrari 488s.

The car No. 51 – driven by James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi – did an awesome start but suffered a puncture before the first hour was up. Calado managed to return to the pits but just at that moment an accident involving another car and obliged the Race Direction to deploy the Safety Car, confining the no. 51 car to the pitlane. This cost a lap. Following, Pier Guidi and Calado pushed hard to regain positions and took the chequered flag in fourth.

Davide Rigon and Sam Bird in their AF Corse Ferrari 488 no. 71 were comfortably ahead. When just over an hour from the end it was involved in an accident with a prototype that cost it four laps in the pits for repairing. The mechanics did their best to repair the car and allowing to finish the race. At the end, the car no. 71 was tenth.

The next round of the Fia Wec will be at Shanghai, in one month.
