FIA WEC: Ferrari wins the GT Manufacturers title

SHANGHAI, November 5th - Ferrari sealed the World Constructorsí Championship in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The decisive points came in the 6 Hours of Shanghai where the two GTE 488s of AF Corse team respectively finished third and sixth. Then Ferrari has won its fifth title out of six (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017) available from the the beginning of the FIA WEC.

Victory in Japan and first place in all the classifications. AF Corse Ferrari 488 #51, driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado, was the fastest GT car in the 6 Hours of Fuji, third to last race of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Thanks to the victory, the two drivers take the lead in the GT Drivers standing and AF Corse has the first position among the LMGTE Pro Team. Ferrari strengthens its leadership in the GT Manufactures championship.

Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado, in their AF Corse Ferrari 488 # 51, took the first place in the 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) despite a puncture near the end of the race. Thanks to the result, Ferrari and AF Corse gained their third seasonal victory in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
