The FIA WEC 2017 has started with a podium for Ferrari and AF Corse

Ferrari and AF Corse gained a podium in the opening race of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 2017. The 488 #51 driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado ended the “6 hour of Silverstone”, raced on April 16th, in the second place in the LMGTE Pro category.

Four-time winners out of five seasons, Ferrari and AF Corse are ready for 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship. Thanks to two Ferrari 488 GTEs lined up in the LMGTE Pro, the best category for GTs, the target in the FIA WEC is the same from the very beginning: to win.

Ferrari wins the GT Manufactures Cup; AF Corse is champion among the LMGTE Am Team; François Perrodo, Emmanuel Collard and Rui Aguas took the LMGTE Am Drivers title in their Ferrari 458 Italia #83. This is the triple successful outcome from the 6 hours of Bahrain, last race in FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 2016. Ferrari, AF Corse and the Prancing Horse’ drivers are still at the top. Ferrari has won the GT Manufactures titles four times out of five FIA WEC’ edition. The same is for AF Corse among both LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am categories.
